Annual total number of tech start-ups established in Israel 2012-2023
It is estimated that 550 new technology start-ups were established in Israel in 2023. This figure reflected a sharp decline from the previous year, during which 736 new companies were founded. Since 2014, start-up foundings have consistently declined by just over 60 percent in a decade. Conversely, over the same period, the total value of investment raised by technology companies has generally increased. This may be attributed to a maturing of the industry and a growing share of capital directed towards existing companies.
